When you live, work and play in LA, it can be easy to forget that we are blessed to live in one of the most exciting cities on the planet. After all, this is a city of movers and shakers and that means we don’t always stop to take it all in.

This is why we’re inviting you to join us for LA Upside Down.

We at Capoeira Brasil Los Angeles are teaming up with Fabletics, FL2 and other local sponsors to present a fitness campaign aimed at bringing awareness to the new generation of fitness in the greater Los Angeles area. We want to show our community that fitness can happen anywhere

 As practitioners of the Brazilian martial art of Capoeira, we have the opportunity to Au (cartwheel) on downtown sidewalks, hold Bananeiras (handstands) at music festivals, and flip on the Santa Monica, Malibu or Venice beach sands.  But none of that is exclusive to the Capoeira community.

Whether you’re a yogi, a crossfitter, a practitioner of a different martial arts, into tricking or just a general lover of movement.  We want you to be a part of LA Upside Down!

Here's how you can get involved:

·      Post *pictures of yourself inverted in anyway from anywhere in the greater Los Angeles Area

·      Geotag where you’re at so we all can see where you are

·      Hashtag the image with #LAupsidedown

·      Follow us on Instagram @LAupsidedown

*There is no limit to how many pictures you can post.  Just have fun with it and share.

More details and information on the LA Upside Down campaign will be coming soon to this site and to our Instagram page.  There's a lot in the works. Sponsors, Partners, a panel of very talented Judges, Prizes and more. 

So feel free to share this with your friends and post as much as possible between now and September 24, 2015.  

We will be looking through all the posts to select our top 3 images and name the finalists at that time. These finalist will also be invited as our guests to the 17th Annual Capoeira Brasil Los Angeles International Capoeira Festival and Batizado on September 27th.  There we will name the winners of this campaign.

We hope this lights a fire in you all!  We're already excited about it!  Now let's show the world that the athletic and artistic diversity in LA is pretty amazing.  No matter how you may be looking at it!
